To receive a transfer via Interac e-Transfer, your recipient in Canada will have to do the following:
- Receive an email with a link.
The email will arrive within 24 hours from the moment the transaction is registered in our system.
Please note that the recipient can accept the transfer within 48 hours of receiving the letter.
- Select a bank or credit institution and log in to the online bank or mobile bank.
Please note that crediting is made only to bank accounts.
- Enter the security code.
This code will arrive within 24 hours from the moment the transaction is registered in our system. You need to share this code with your recipient.
If the code didn't arrive:
- Log in your account;
- Click on the transaction you need;
- Click on the “Notify beneficiary” button;
- Send the code to the recipient.
The “Notify beneficiary” button will appear within 24 hours from the moment the transaction is registered in our system.
If your recipient has the “Auto-deposit” function enabled, the transaction will be credited to his/her account automatically - he/she won't have to follow the link in the email and enter the security code
