Any time you want to use a new card to pay for your Paysend transfer, you will have to link the card to your account and verify the card before your first transfer.
In order to verify your card, Paysend will conduct a small transaction (between $0.50 and $2.50) on the card provided. If you have enabled SMS notifications from your online banking, you will receive a text message or app notification with the transaction amount (for example, VISA4722 04.08.23 $1.25 debited).
SMS notifications are not enabled, you’ll need to access your online banking, open your transaction history, to find the Paysend transaction amount. Or call your bank and check this information if it doesn’t appear in the online bank history.
To verify your card, you need to:
- Log into the account of the card you entered and look at your most recent and/or pending transactions.
- Find the transaction from Paysend - the transaction amount should be between $0.50 and $2.50.
- Note the exact amount and return to the app or website. Click “Verify card” and enter the exact amount. It’s that easy!
- Note: You need to complete this process within 12 hours, otherwise your transfer will be canceled.
Once you’ve completed this process, or in the case you were not able to do it within the 12-hour period, the verification amount will be adjusted to your card account within 3-5 business days.
