When you add a new card, you need to verify it before you can use it for your Paysend transfers. For this purpose, Paysend will charge a small verification amount—from 0.50 to 2.50 USD. To verify your card, please follow these steps:
- Find the withdrawal. You can do it through your banking app or website, by calling your bank, or by checking your texts if you have SMS notifications from your bank enabled.
- Check the withdrawal amount. These three digits will be your verification amount.
- Enter the verification amount. Return to Paysend and resume the transfer process, or open the transfer page by pressing on your transfer in the transfer history. You will need to press the 'Verify card' button and enter the verification amount.
If your card verification is successful, you will see the 'Card verified' notification and be able to proceed with your transfer.
Please note:
- You will have 12 hours to verify your card. Otherwise, the transfer will be automatically canceled.
- The verification amount will be refunded to you in just a few minutes. However, in rare cases, the refund may take up to 3 business days.
- In case you remove your card from the list of linked cards, you will need to repeat the card verification process if you ever wish to use it again.
What if the verification amount is over 2.50 USD?
Please contact your bank to check if any fees were applied to the verification withdrawal. If that is the case, you will need to find out the fee amount and subtract it from the amount withdrawn from your card—this will be the verification amount.
What is a business day?
Business days are the days when banks are open for work, which is typically from Monday to Friday. When making a transfer, keep in mind that Saturday, Sunday, and public holidays are not considered business days.
