If you need to change the phone number in your Paysend account, you may be able to do it yourself in just a few steps — depending on your account type.
To change your phone number:
- Log in to your Paysend account.
- Open the ‘Profile’ section.
- Go to ‘Personal info’.
- Tap the pencil icon in the top-right corner or next to your current phone number.
- Enter your new phone number.
- Confirm the change by entering the code sent via SMS.
If you don't see the pencil icon on your 'Personal info' page, your account type may not support manual number change. Our Customer Support agents will be more than happy to help you with the change — just contact us via in-app chat or email help@paysend.com!
Your new number must:
- belong to the same country as your old number
- not already be linked to another Paysend account.
Each phone number can only be linked to one Paysend account.
What information is needed for the phone number change?
Our Support agents will need the following information to change your phone number at Paysend:
- your old number with the country code
- your new number with the country code
- a selfie of you holding your ID.
I forgot my old phone number
If it's been a while since you used Paysend, and your number has changed, but you don't remember the number you used during registration, don't worry!
Just contact our Support team and share some other details about your account (for example, the email address or the number of any transfer you made in the past), and we'll make sure to help you out.
This card is linked to another account
You may see this error message if you are trying to add a card that was previously used in another account, which is not allowed for security reasons.
If you recently changed your phone number, this might mean that you created a second Paysend account.
Simply reach out to our Support team, making sure to specify your old and new numbers, and we'll get it sorted out for you!
