The money is ready to be picked up. To collect cash from a bank in Vietnam, your recipient needs to follow the steps below:
- Wait for the call: A Vietcombank representative will call your recipient on the day your payment is processed or the following day between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The representative will explain the cash pickup process and provide a transaction code needed to receive the money.
- Visit the bank: The recipient will need to visit the bank you selected when making the transfer to collect the money. The cash can be collected Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
- Prepare a valid ID and the transaction code: To collect the cash, bank representatives will ask for a valid identification document and the transaction code. The recipient will need to bring both to ensure successful cash pickup.
If you selected Vietcombank as the recipient's bank:
The recipient does not need to wait for the call from the bank representative. Instead, they can go directly to a Vietcombank branch with their ID and the transaction code.
What is a transaction code and where to find it?
A transaction code is a unique code, which is generated for each cash pickup transaction and helps protect the security of your transfers. There are two ways to obtain a transaction code:
- A Vietcombank representative will provide the transaction code during the call they make after the transfer is initiated and your payment is processed.
- You can find the transaction code in your Paysend account. Select the transfer in the transfer history. On the transfer page, you will see the 'Notify recipient' button—press it to reveal the transaction code. Please note that it might take up to 1 day for the button to appear.
