When a sender chooses Interac as the delivery option for a transfer to Canada, they need to enter their recipient's full name and email address. As soon as the sender's transfer payment is confirmed, an Interac email is sent to the recipient's email address.
If you have the 'Autodeposit' option enabled, the funds will be credited automatically immediately after the sender's payment is processed.
Here's what to do to receive an Interac transfer manually:
- Find the Interac email and accept the deposit by logging into your bank account.
- Enter the security code provided by the sender to accept an Interac deposit. The sender can find the code via SMS or in their Paysend account.
- Wait for the funds to be reflected in your bank account within a few minutes.
What if I can't find the Interac email?
- Ensure the correctness of the entered email address. The sender will be able to check this on the transfer page.
- Check the 'Spam' and 'Promo' folders.
Important
You will have 7 calendar days to accept a transfer to a Canadian bank account via Interac. Otherwise, it will be cancelled on the 8th calendar day, and the funds will be returned to the sender.
