When sending money to a bank account in South Africa using Paysend, please follow these important steps:
Recipient's phone number
Enter the recipient's phone number when making the transfer. This is essential for the next steps.
SMS notification and verification
Once you have initiated the transfer and provided the recipient's phone number, the recipient will receive an SMS from our local partners. The SMS will ask the recipient to complete a verification process.
Pending transfer status
If your transfer is marked as pending, check with the recipient to confirm that they have received the SMS and completed the verification steps.
If there are any issues, such as the recipient not receiving the SMS, an incorrect phone number being provided, the recipient not verifying or the transfer still pending after verification, please contact Paysend Customer Support. In your request please specify the following:
- The phone number you provided when you registered, including the country code;
- Your first and last name;
- Your email address;
- The ID number of the transaction in question.
