Good news — your money transfer is on its way to the recipient! That “transfer in progress” status means we’ve sent the money, and it’s now being processed by the receiving bank. Most transfers only take a few minutes to land, but in rare cases it can take a little longer; the recipient’s bank may need up to 3 business days to complete the process.
Why is my transfer still processing?
Sometimes an online money transfer just needs a bit more time — and that’s perfectly normal. A few common reasons include:
- It’s a weekend or public holiday in the country you’re sending to.
- The recipient’s bank is getting ready to accept the payment.
Most banks keep things moving even outside business hours, but if not, your transfer will proceed again on the next working day. Once everything’s been checked and approved, your money will arrive safely with the recipient.
